ART LOVERS WORLDWIDE

A photographic archive of the collected works of self-taught sculptor Jean-Marcel St. Jacques

For roughly a decade, Jean Marcel St. Jacques sold his works on the streets of the French Quarter. Over time, he built a wonderful community of art lovers. They now number in the thousands. During that time he didn't have social media and didn't allow passers-by to photograph him or his work. He did however always make a point to photograph the buyer, along with the pieces they so lovingly purchased so that he would have some type of recording of provenance, authenticity, and proof of purchase. At some point, the artist plans to make a special wooden quilt of these memorable photos and hang them in his personal shrine. For now, this is his archive of that time and a public record of these collected works.
